A net light is the quickest job on any display. Instead of threading a string through a bush and back out again, you drop a 2 metre square of evenly spaced LEDs over the top and you are done. For a front hedge, a box bush or a low wall it is ten minutes of work for something that looks deliberate rather than draped.

Black cable, and that matters

The cable is black rather than white, so in daylight it disappears into the foliage instead of showing as a grid of white wire across the front of the house. That is the difference between a hedge that looks lit at night and tidy by day, and one that looks like it has a net thrown over it.

Where it works best

Box hedging, a front boundary hedge, a low wall or a round bush either side of a door. Two nets either side of a doorway is a classic look and takes minutes. Feed it from a properly installed outdoor socket and keep the plug and any timer inside a weatherproof connection box such as the DRiBOX.

Q: Will it fit my hedge?
A: It is 2 metres square and it stretches over the shape underneath, so it suits anything from a box bush up to a 2 metre run of low hedge. For a longer boundary, join several together.

Q: How many can I join?
A: They are connectable, so a run of nets along a boundary hedge works from a single socket.

Q: Why black cable and not white?
A: Because in daylight white cable is very visible against green foliage and it spoils the look for the eleven hours a day the lights are off. Black disappears.

Q: Can it stay out all winter?
A: Yes, it is made for outdoor use. Keep the plug and coupler off wet ground and inside a weatherproof box, that is what fails first.
