The OP-SBWF01 is a Wi-Fi general-purpose time switch, 230 V, white, designed for mounting directly onto a single pattress or surface mounting box. It is programmable for either 24 hour or 7 day operation and can be remotely programmed via the user's home Wi-Fi hub and a smartphone App. The unit can be manually overridden with a button on the timer, or remotely by using the App.
The switched status can be viewed via the App and changed as required whether within Wi-Fi range or not, as long as your phone has a data signal. Additional Wi-Fi switches can be added to the system and controlled individually of each other.
A standard Wi-Fi router has a capacity for fewer than 15 devices. The devices can be grouped and work with either Amazon Alexa or Google Home. Dimensions of the timer are 92mm (h) x 92mm (w) x 48mm (d), and the weight is 201g.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where can I buy a WiFi socket box time switch in Ireland?
A: The Optimum OP SBWF01 socket box WiFi time switch is available from Shamrock Electrical at shamrockelectrical.ie, with free delivery to every county in the Republic of Ireland from the first euro. You can also order for collection from our shop in Greenogue Business Park, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin, usually ready in 2 to 4 days.
Q: Do I need an electrician to install it?
A: Yes. It wires into a fixed circuit and mounts directly onto a single pattress or surface mounting box, 60 x 92 x 92 mm, so it should be installed by a registered electrician, especially where it controls heating.
Q: Can I use it to put my central heating on a smart schedule?
A: Yes. It is one of the simplest ways to add app control to existing heating. It fits in place of, or alongside, a standard heating timer and lets you set on and off times or switch the circuit remotely from your phone.
Q: How do the schedules work?
A: You can program 24 hour or 7 day operation from the smartphone app, view the switched status at any time, and override it manually with the button on the timer or remotely from anywhere your phone has data.
Q: Does it keep working if the WiFi goes down?
A: Yes. Schedules are stored on the unit itself, so your programmed times keep running even if broadband drops. WiFi is only needed to change settings or switch it remotely.
Q: Do you deliver across Ireland?
A: Yes. We deliver free to every county in the Republic of Ireland, usually within a few working days, and you can also order for collection from our Rathcoole shop, usually ready in 2 to 4 days.
Every order ships with free delivery from the very first euro, with no minimum spend and no threshold to reach. New customers take 10 percent off a first order.
