Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can the Fumagalli Bisso Salem lantern hang down or sit upright?
A: Yes. It can be mounted two ways, upturned on top of the bracket or hanging downwards from it.
Q: How big is the Bisso Salem wall lantern?
A: 500 mm high and 315 mm wide.
Q: What bulb does it take?
A: It takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb. An LED E27 bulb uses far less power for the same light.
Q: Is it waterproof enough for outdoor use in Ireland?
A: Yes. It is rated IP55, which means it is protected against dust and against low pressure water jets from any direction. The resin body is UV stabilised and rust and corrosion free.
Q: Will it rust if I live near the coast?
A: No. The body is made of shockproof resin that is rust and corrosion free, and Fumagalli gives it a lifetime anti-rust guarantee.
Q: Do I need an electrician to install it?
A: Yes. It is a mains powered fixed outdoor light, so in Ireland it should be connected by a registered electrician.
