Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the Evolec globe light suitable for a bathroom?
A: Yes. It is IP44 rated, which means it is protected against splashing water from any direction.
Q: What bulb does the Evolec bathroom globe light take?
A: A B22 bayonet cap lamp, also called BC.
Q: What is the difference between the 60W and 100W versions?
A: The wattage rating. Choose 60W (B60WPC) or 100W (B100WPC); both are white bakelite and glass, IP44 rated and run on 230V.
Q: Can I use an LED bulb in the globe light?
A: Yes. A B22 LED lamp can be used as long as its wattage is within the fitting's rating.
Q: Do I need an electrician to fit a bathroom light?
A: Yes. It is a 230V mains fitting and bathroom wiring has extra safety rules, so in Ireland it should be connected by a registered electrician.
