Q: Does it plug into a normal socket? A: No. It runs on 110V, the safer voltage used on Irish and UK building sites, and is fitted with a yellow 16A 110V plug. Power it from a 110V site transformer.
Q: How many harnesses can I connect together? A: Two, for a continuous 100 metre run drawing 200W in total. Check that your transformer is rated for the total load of everything plugged into it.
Q: Are the lights included? A: Yes. The 20 LED heads are fitted to the cable, so it is ready to hang and switch on. There are no lamps to buy or change.
Q: Can it be used outdoors? A: The heads are rated IP44, which protects them against splashing water from any direction, so the harness suits scaffolds, external stairs and covered outdoor work areas. Keep plug connections off the ground and out of standing water.
Q: How bright is it? A: Each head gives 425 lumens of 4000K cool white light, about the same as an old 40W bulb, every 2.5 metres along the run. That is 8,500 lumens across the 50 metres for only 100W.
