Trade accounts are for people buying for work rather than for one room at home. That means:

- Maintenance teams and businesses buying regularly
You do not need an account to buy from us. Anyone can order from the website at the listed prices, or walk into the counter in Rathcoole. The account is for people who buy often enough, or in large enough quantities, that being quoted properly is worth the five minutes it takes to set up.

How does trade pricing work?
It is quoted, not published. Two reasons, and both of them are in your favour.
First, the right price depends on the quantity. Ten downlights and two hundred downlights are not the same conversation, and a single rate published on a page would have to be the cautious one. Second, a lot of what we supply never appears on the website at all, so a published list could not cover it.
So the honest answer to how much cheaper it is: send us the list and we will tell you. Items, quantities, and the job if it helps us spec it. The more detail you give us, the faster the quote comes back.
Buying in quantity, for a project or a rental
You do not need to be an electrician to be worth quoting. If you are fitting out a house, turning around a rental, heating a whole property or kitting out a site, the quantity is what matters, not the trade card.
Common examples: a full house of electric radiators and heaters, every room in a rental fitted with smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms, a commercial unit needing emergency lights and exit signs, or a rewire needing cable, conduit and trunking and a consumer unit together.
