Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I turn off the motion sensor on this floodlight?
A: Yes. The PIR sensor can be switched on or off with the remote, and there is a manual override to keep the light on.
Q: How long does the light stay on after it detects movement?
A: Between 15 seconds and 30 minutes. You set the delay timer with the remote.
Q: Will the PIR floodlight come on during the day?
A: Only if you choose. In 24 hour PIR mode it reacts to movement day and night. In dusk mode the photocell lets it come on at 20 lux and turns it off at 80 lux.
Q: How bright is each wattage?
A: The 10W gives 900 lumens, the 20W 1800 lumens, the 30W 2700 lumens and the 50W 4500 lumens.
Q: Is it waterproof?
A: Yes. It is rated IP65, so it is dust tight and protected against water jets. It works from minus 35°C to 50°C.
Q: Do I need an electrician to fit it?
A: Yes. It is supplied with a 1M cable and a quick fix bracket, but it is a mains powered outdoor fitting, so in Ireland it should be connected by a registered electrician.
