Rope light draws clean, unbroken lines of light, which is why it outlines rooflines, shopfronts, windows and signs. The Evolec drum gives you 44 metres of LED rope that cuts every 2 metres and comes with two powerfeeds, so one drum can do two jobs. Eight colours, IP44 rated, and delivered free from the first euro.

Q: Can it be cut to length?
A: Yes, at the marked cut points every 2 metres. Each drum comes with two powerfeeds, so one drum can light two separate runs.

Q: What accessories are there?
A: Extra powerfeeds and accessory packs with clips, couplers and end caps are available for the 2 wire drums.

Q: What is the difference between 2 wire and 3 wire red?
A: The 2 wire drums are the current V2 range at 2W per metre with a 2 year warranty. The 3 wire red and the multicolour drum with controller are 88W drums with a 1 year warranty. Both are cut every 2 metres.

Q: How much power does it use?
A: The 2 wire drums are rated at 3.6W per metre input, so the full 44 metres draws about 158W.

Q: Can they be used outdoors?
A: These sets are rated IP44, so they cope with rain and splashing water. Keep the plug, transformer and any couplers off the ground and dry, ideally in a DRiBOX weatherproof connection box, and power them from an outdoor rated socket rather than a lead run through a window.
