Each socket has its own on and off button on the handset, so the tree, the window lights and a lamp can be switched independently. You can also run one remote to several receivers, or programme several remotes to a single receiver if two people want a handset. They arrive pre programmed and ready to use, and can be reprogrammed if you want a different arrangement.

Q: Will it work through a wall?
A: Within a normal room and through a standard internal wall, yes. Through a thick masonry wall or between floors the range drops, so keep the receiver in the room you are switching from where you can.

A: No, these are for indoor use. For an outdoor display use an outdoor rated socket and keep the plug and timer inside a weatherproof connection box.

Q: Can I use them with a timer as well?
A: Yes. A common setup is a plug in timer for the schedule and the remote for overriding it when you want the lights on earlier.
